Hello! I am an invited researcher at the Graduate School of Humanities of Osaka University and member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico (SNI).
I specialize in cultural studies with specific interest and expertise in cultural criticism/theory and narrative fiction analysis. I am committed to a continuous dialogue between the sciences and the humanities focused on interdisciplinary approaches to time and space in culture.
My line of research is primarily the multiverse and other worlds possibilities, but it also involves the study of scientific phenomena, techno-digital contexts, neuroethics, material/visual culture, fictional narratives, and East-West cultural encounters.
I have been a Postdoctoral Fellow granted by The National Autonomous University of Mexico (2019-21) and by The Japan Foundation (2018). Further, I have been a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher at Cardiff University (2023-24) the University of The Ryukyus (2022), and The College of Mexico (2017-18).
I am member of the Research Group “Pathologies of Subjectivity: Ethical and Political Implications of the Commodification of Life in Advanced Capitalism” of the Philosophy College of The National Autonomous University of Mexico, and the Research Group GREGAL (Cultural Circulation Japan-Korea-Catalonia/Spain) at the Department of Translation and Interpretation and East Asian Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
