his book offers the first studies on the contemporary influence of the parallel universes idea as a theoretical method in speculative fiction to explore different cultural, social, and philosophical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking a cross-cultural approach, an international team of authors takes different literary and media text to engage with the multiverse from the point of view of \u201cother worlds,\u201d understanding it not as the appearance of another independent world, but as the collision of two or more different worlds into one of them. The concept of the multiverse is one of the few that has been able to link what are traditionally referred to as the two cultures: the sciences and the arts. This book examines Grant Morrison’s The Multiversity<\/em> to trace the overlaps between these two territories. The idea of multiverse has been developed in comics since 1961 with the publication of The Flash of Two Worlds<\/em>, and has found its maximum expression in recent years with the construction of superhero multiverses. Grant Morrison’s work culminates this process of construction and Ang\u00e9lica Cabrera accurately analyzes it with precision in her book.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
